Jesus is Konkomba!

It was translated by a team of Konkomba people, supervised by Mary Steele MBE, who works with our Ghanaian partner organisation GILLBT. A Ride to Work

My husband Dick and I were Bible Translators with the Cashinahua in Peru from 1969 to 1981. Almost as soon as we got off the plane on our first trip there, Mario (the only believer in the group), told us he had been promised by our predecessors that we would help him to become a bilingual school teacher.

Bible Translation

The Bible can meet the spiritual needs of every man, woman and child on earth. But they need to read it in the language they understand best. Over 3,000 people groups, more than 380 million people, still don't have the Bible translated into their language.

Jesus speaks Aiwo!

Located in a remote southeastern corner of the Solomon Islands (1500 miles northeast of Australia), the Reef Islands sustains a population of more than 5000. Wycliffe translation advisors John & Rosalie Rentz (from US/NZ) and their famly spent 8 years supervising the translation of the Scriptures into Äiwo, the native language. The translation of Mark's Gospel was completed in 2001 and the dedication ceremony was held in St. Michael's Church in Otelo Village.
